Apple's official template has several good stairs. hypertext transfer protocol://support.apple.com/kb/TS1367

I would kickoff with resetting the SMC: the System Direction Controller.

If that doesn't work, readjust the NVRAM (which isn't on the lean) followed by attempting to boot to cyberspace convalescence.

  • NVRAM - Command Option P R
  • Retrieval - Control R

Past that, you would need to open the machine and start removing all components that aren't part of the "stripped-down system of rules" or take information technology to a technician that does that professionally.

  • I rich person tried all 3 methods as well every bit opening it up and cleansing kayoed the fan a little spot. I would remove the fan but don't take up the tools for it. I might take IT to the apple store or mack experts but I'm afraid I mightiness be SOL.

Just fixed MacBook Pro stuck in Eternal sleep and Fans running high. All you need to do is open up shell and unplug the fans from motherboard! Somehow the temperature sensing moldiness be in fan send and IT senses high temp and shuts pour down computer with fans on high. Some how restarting computer doesn't reset things (design fault or firmware bug). But UNPLUG FANS and you'Re healthful to go. I did this while powered on and it sprang into life! Later I checked IT powers down and reboots. Don't forget to plug fans in again before completion and fans "hey presto" ply at natural speed. Orchard apple tree engineers couldnt fix this and said we had to buy new board operating theatre computer $2k+. Good luck

  • This seems dangerous to disable cooling long enough to boot to the Bone. Better to retributory index along long enough for POST then power it in real time turned. Reconnecting the cables at that point and so calling is in place seems prudent

  • Its not raw to having the fans off atomic number 3 its all open at this point and everything's uncovered for cooling. Silent as you say re-connect the fans asap wherefore not

  • I'll plus one the answer after thinking through the scenario - MBP with oestrus pipes connected but blower cancelled plausibly won't go too hot before the thermal protection kicks in. As wel, flavourless pace repair means $300 should location the wrong if necessary.

  • Please folk don't worry about cooling doing this simple fix. The MBP base lid is off so its electronics is not in an enclosure. The 2 impeller fans flying are designed to expel air from the MBP natural enclosure only lid-off are now not doing anything A they are taking air from your room and blowing it back to the room! I ran my MBP testing for 5 mins fans off mode and did touch examination the electronic parts and none were too hot. So relax and test your MBP in brief before re-plugging in the 2 fans and piece of ass on the dishonourable chapeau. Then take over a drink to celebrate the fasten and money saved. Cheers!

I have had this problem as well. Right instantly I am running my mac book with no battery and the charger in. This normally makes it work. I am starting to think that the battery is sliding around because the brackets affiliated to my battery skint unsatisfactory (screws that moderat the battery down). I temperaily had a objet d'art of metal impacted to keep apart it from sliding and this did the trick for about a week. And then information technology started again. I am not sure what is going on but it all started for some ME and my roomie later victimization the HDMI adapter supplement...
